UC WEB / UC BROWSER - UX WORKS

UC Web / UC Browser

UC Browser is a mobile browser developed by UC Web (also known as UC Mobile). Originally launched in April 2004 as a J2me-only application, it is now available on platforms including Android, iOS, Windows Phone, Symbian, Java ME and Blackberry.

With a huge user base in China, strong adoption in India and continued growth in emerging regional markets, UC Browser reached 500 million global users in March 2014. (Wikipedia)

 

UX Main Works - Type A

- Gather optimization solutions of UC browser from different channels, such as user face-to-face interview, user online feedback, product test, etc.

- Rank the optimization solutions according to their different priority, and choose the optimization solutions with higher priority as UX design case.

- Each UX design case would have the core problem that needs to be solved.   

 

The UX Cases I have done are: Optimizations of Video Management in UC Browser (Android platform); Optimizations od Incognito Mode of UC Browser (Android platform); UI Optimizations of UC Browser Version 9.4, etc.

Pay attention to the latest situations of competing products, and make simple remarks or comparison remarks of certain subject, finally find the optimization solutions for UC Browser and add them into the optimization lists. For instance, Remarks on a comparison of UC Browser 9.1 and Baidu Browser 3.3; Setting functions comparison of different browser; Remark of Chrome Browser Verson 10.2

Review meeting with different job positions in the company (product manager, technical department, test department, operation department, etc.); The process of review meeting: Every people can make demands and possible solutions from their own perspective, and invite people from different positions to review this demands.
